The role:
As an integral part of our business, our new division - Provincial Distributors in Toowoomba has plans for growth and we're looking for an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage our daily operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, ideally within the food industry, strong leadership skills, and a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
In this role, you'll lead your team while keeping the warehouse organised and running smoothly.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail—someone who notices when things aren't working at their best and takes the initiative to make practical improvements, whether it's adjusting workflows or finding small changes that make a big difference to productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop your warehouse team.
* Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, dispatch, and delivery.
* Take initiative to identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and implement practical solutions.
* Ensure all operations comply with health and safety and food safety standards, while supporting your team to follow best practices.
* Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other machinery, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Support your team with training, mentoring, and performance management to help them grow in their roles.
* Monitor and manage resources effectively, ensuring productivity and efficiency without compromising team wellbeing.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience leading a warehouse, distribution, or branch team, ideally within the food industry.
* Strong team leadership and people management skills.
* Forklift licence is required.
* HR licence or higher highly desirable but not essential.
* Someone proactive and solutions oriented, with a keen eye for detail, who identifies opportunities to streamline workflow and boost efficiency.
* Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management, dispatch, and delivery processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a positive team culture.
* Experience with basic computer software including Microsoft Office.
