We are currently looking for Field Technicians to join our Technical team, specialising in asphalt coring, sampling, and density testing. This is an opportunity to combine practical fieldwork with technical quality assurance, ensuring projects meet the highest standards.
The Role
As a Field Technician, you'll work across live projects and asphalt production sites, carrying out quality testing to verify compaction, density, and material compliance. You'll operate coring equipment, collect samples, complete field density tests, and report results for both client and internal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Extract asphalt cores and conduct field sampling/testing
* Perform density testing using nuclear and non-nuclear gauges
* Record, analyse, and report quality results to supervisors and clients
* Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools
* Work safely on active roadworks and construction sites
* Support continuous improvement of quality assurance systems
About You
* Previous experience in asphalt or construction materials testing preferred
* White Card (Construction Induction) required
* Nuclear Density Gauge licence (or willingness to obtain)
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual outdoor work
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Willingness to travel to metro and regional projects as required
* Team player with a safety-first mindset
