- Position DescriptionCBCHS is seeking passionate, motivated Client Support Workers and Professionals to join our Adult Community Options (ACO) team on a Permanent **Part Time/Casual** basis.
Positions are available at multiple sites across the City of Kingston including Parkdale, Edithvale, Cheltenham and Clayton.

**Position Overview**
The position is responsible for supporting people with a disability to exercise choice and control over their lives, and to participate in activities to meet their individual needs, goals and interests. This can be in a group setting in the community or any ACO / CBCHS venue or 1:1 support in our centres or clients homes. There are opportunities for more senior roles dependent upon experience to work in a coaching and mentoring role supporting the Client Support Workers. **Key deliverables of this role include**:

- You will have the ability and willingness to provide support to a range of people with a disability in all activities.
- Your excellent communication skills will see you build positive relationships with clients, families, carers and other professionals from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
- Your passion will see you put the client's choice and control first, and ensure you protect, promote and uphold the rights of people with a disability.
- Provide day-to-day care, support and direction to clients in both 1:1 and/or group programs.
- Lead client supervision and implementation of centre and / or community-based programs.
- Provide full support to clients in all centred and community programs (including swimming).
- Lead, support and provide guidance to Client Support Workers.
- In consultation with the Team Leader provide input into development and planning of Person Centred Plans (PCPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Assist with the planning and implementation of a weekly timetable.
- Meet individual personal care needs of clients, as required (including full physical assistance with lunches and incontinent clients) and administering medication, as required.
**Qualifications**
- Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability) and recognised experience or relevant tertiary qualification will be highly valued.

- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for clients;
- Ability and willingness to provide support to a range of people with a disability in all activities, including tasks that involve manual handling and personal hygiene;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to liaise positively with families, carers and other professionals from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
