**What's the role?**

With a legacy of excellence in journalism, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive **Team Assistant** to support our dynamic newsroom while also playing a key role in coordinating major events across major industry sectors.
**You Will**:
+ Provide administrative support to editors and journalists, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the newsroom.
+ Manage invoices, payments, and other financial processing tasks efficiently.
+ Assist with scheduling, travel arrangements, and correspondence for editorial leadership.
+ Coordinate major tentpole events in energy, agribusiness, regional & rural Australia, business, economics, and defence, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
+ Handle logistics, guest lists, venue bookings, and liaise with sponsors and partners for events.
+ Support the newsroom in research, production, and content coordination as needed.
+ Maintain office supplies, technology support coordination, and newsroom organisation.
+ Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
**You Have**:
+ Strong organisational and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
+ Experience in event coordination or a strong willingness to learn and take ownership of key events.
+ The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with efficiency.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders, journalists, and external partners.
+ Proficiency in financial administration, such as processing invoices and managing payments.
+ A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to anticipate needs and problem-solve.
