About the opportunity
Altrad is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and support our regional HSE team. This is a hands‐on role where you will provide functional oversight of HSE resources, drive compliance, and ensure safe and efficient outcomes across our projects and operations.
You'll be central to mentoring HSE personnel, partnering with operational leaders, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in line with Altrad's values. In this role, you will:
* Lead, mentor, and allocate HSE Advisors and project personnel to ensure effective site coverage.
* Act as the primary HSE contact for WA-based operations and client representatives.
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and audits to monitor compliance with company and client requirements.
* Support operations with the implementation of safe systems of work, hazard identification, and incident management.
* Drive compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, including incident investigations, reporting, and project start‐ups.
* Promote HSE initiatives and embed a safety‐first culture across all sites.
About you
You're a hands‐on, strategic HSE leader - organised, safety‐focused, and improvement‐minded. You thrive managing multiple sites and priorities while mentoring your team and delivering robust, compliant, and well‐structured HSE outcomes.
* Diploma (essential) or Degree (desirable) in OH&S, HSEQ, Risk Management, or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in a senior HSE role with organisational‐wide responsibilities.
* Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring and managing HSE personnel.
* Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practice in industrial, mining, or oil & gas environments.
* Experience in incident investigations (ICAM, TapRoot, or Root Cause) and compliance assurance.
* Comfortable working with multicultural teams and fostering collaborative, high‐performing work environments.
