About the Role
This is a key position within Moco’s Procurement Team, reporting to the Head of Procurement. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing operations, supplier negotiations, and category performance. The role ensures stock availability, competitive pricing, and strong supplier relationships that protect margins and deliver commercial outcomes.
Working closely with the Head of Procurement and cross-functional teams, the role plays a vital part in shaping purchasing strategies, driving efficiency, and delivering improvements in cost management, service, and supply reliability.
About You
You are a commercially astute professional with strong experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within FMCG, wholesale, or foodservice. With a proven ability to manage supplier negotiations, secure competitive pricing, and balance operational requirements with commercial outcomes, you thrive in fast-paced and high-volume environments.
You have a natural ability to build strong relationships across suppliers and internal teams, influencing outcomes through collaboration and clear communication. Analytical and detail-oriented, you are confident working with data, forecasts, and purchasing systems to make informed decisions that drive results. A proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and a focus on continuous improvement ensure you deliver both immediate impact and long-term value to the business.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to work with data and forecasting tools.
- Knowledge of procurement best practice and supply chain principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale, or foodservice highly regarded.
