Fire Safety Officer
We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Officer to join our team in Queensland.
A fire safety officer plays a vital role in preventing, preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for emergency services and community safety.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Responding to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
* Promoting community safety through effective prevention and education activities
* Maintaining competencies through regular training and drills
* Operating specialist firefighting equipment in a safe and effective manner
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Mandatory requirements: employer's consent to attend incidents, Australian permanent resident status, manual C class driver's licence
* Ability to commit to 50% of calls as a day worker or 30% of calls as a shift worker with routine hours
* Attendance at 75% of regular drill and training sessions
* Obtainment of an MRV licence within 12 months of employment
* Participation in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs
