I am looking for an experienced Accountant to join the team of one of our building and construction clients based in Darwin.
Your new role
Join a high performing finance team in a diverse and hands on Accountant role where you’ll support financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, project accounting and ongoing process improvement.
Responsibilities
* Assist with annual and half year financial accounts
* Support BAS, payroll tax and FBT lodgements
* Contribute to monthly and quarterly management reporting
* Work closely with the Senior Financial Controller on budgeting, forecasting and project analysis
* Oversee AP/AR functions and stock/hire reconciliations
* Drive continuous improvement across finance processes
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CA beneficial
* 3+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role
* Strong knowledge of taxation and employment law
* Solid MYOB and advanced Excel skills
* Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving ability
