Exciting opportunity for Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our 49-bed McDougall Park Aged Care Home on a full-time basis. Located in Como, just across the road from the stunning Neil McDougall Park, it is a friendly, family-orientated home with a welcoming atmosphere.
About the role
As a DON, you'll ensure the facility is fully occupied, meeting accreditation standards, while cultivating a stable and positive workplace culture for our diverse staff. Your advanced clinical and leadership experience will be vital to ensuring we provide safe, effective, and high-quality care to our aged-care residents.
Your well-honed communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when managing an aged care facility and leading inter-disciplinary teams, implementing Quality Management and Continuous Improvement programs well as providing relationship-centred care that ensures the dignity and respect of all residents.
What you'll bring
* Tertiary qualification (Bachelor or higher) in Nursing and AHPRA registration
* Extensive management experience in a Residential Aged Care facility
* Strong communication skills, with an ability to provide instruction to nurses and build strong relationships with residents and their families
* Working knowledge of the strengthened quality standards (Aged Care Act 2024), ideally in a management capacity
* Understanding of AN-ACC funding model
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* National Police Clearance (within past 6 months)
* Full working rights in Australia
