Classification: MD2 – $416,551 to $605,769 + Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits

An exciting opportunity exists for a Consultant in Women’s Anaesthesia to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality care in a major public health service in Adelaide.
This role provides specialist anaesthetic, acute pain, and resuscitative services for obstetric and gynaecological patients, with responsibilities that include:
* Pre-anaesthetic patient preparation and participation in pre-anaesthetic clinics
* Providing pain relief services for labouring women
* Delivering anaesthesia for elective and emergency O&G surgeries
* Supervising and training anaesthetic registrars in line with the ANZCA curriculum
* Ensuring patient care aligns with evidence-based best practices
* Contributing to effective multidisciplinary teamwork
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
* Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
* Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Demonstrated expertise in obstetric and gynaecological anaesthesia
* Experience in a large public hospital setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
