General manager for WA mine operations

**Your new role**

As the General Manager for the mine operations, you will be engaged in a permanent position on a 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Australian Managing Director, and you will be responsible for the WA mining operations. The General Manager is responsible for leading the mine and ensures the success of the operations which is evident by achieving the budget and forecasted production targets. The General Manager responsibilities will include:
- Deliver on production targets and within budget
- Maintain a safe system of work
- Ensure adherence to the site procedures and the organisational values
- Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with contractors, business partners and internal departments
- Record and report compliance to short, medium and long term plans
- Manage the operational processes of the mine to ensure product quality targets are achieved
- Manage and Control the Mine in accordance to the Mine Safety & Inspection Act 1994 and Mine Safety & Inspection Regulations 1995
- Performance analysis and strategic planning to allow for continuous improvements across the operations
- Establish expectations of the site management team through key performance indicators
**What you'll need to succeed**

As the General Manager you will have previous experience in a leadership role within mine operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or a similar field
- Statuary WA Quarry Manager Certificate or First Class Mine Manager ticket
- Excellent leadership, team building communication and presentation skills.
- Strong safety focus
- High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and Surpac
