Overview
Total Connections is a well-established Australian company specialising in mobile servicing and replacement of hydraulic and industrial hoses, fittings, and components. With our head office in Perth and branches in Port Hedland and Kalgoorlie, we support mining, construction, transport and industrial clients across WA.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Trade Assistant or Mechanic who's keen to upskill into a Hydraulic Hose / Hydraulic Technician role based out of Kalgoorlie.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, field-based position supporting mining and industrial sites. Day to day, you'll be involved in:
* Attending onsite breakdowns and completing hose replacements
* Assembly and crimping of hydraulic hose assemblies
* Installation of new hydraulic systems on plant and equipment
* Assisting with diagnosing hydraulic faults and minor repairs
* Servicing and supporting fire suppression systems (where required)
* Using mobile systems for job documentation and reporting
* Supporting clients across mine sites, workshops and mobile operations
Training and development are available for applicants who don't have hydraulic experience but bring mechanical aptitude and the right attitude.
What We're Looking For
We want someone reliable, switched on, and able to work safely and independently in remote environments.
Required:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Good communication and customer service focus
* HR or MR driver's licence
* Construction White Card
Desirable:
* Any experience with hydraulics, hoses, fittings or industrial maintenance
* Exposure to mobile plant, drilling rigs or mining equipment
* Forklift licence
* Experience with fire suppression systems
