What You'll Do:
This role plays a key part in unlocking opportunity by expanding market share, strengthening customer and industry networks, and driving sustainable improvements in margins and profitability. You will be accountable for:
* Review, refine and execute the national horticulture (incl. viticulture) strategy across the east region branch network
* Own procurement, ranging, pricing and buying direction for horticulture products (Crop Protection primary focus)
* Manage trading agreements and supplier performance, including smaller horticulture-focused suppliers
* Develop supplier partnerships (domestic/international and Loveland Agri Products) to secure exclusive or limited-access arrangements
* Drive margin and working capital outcomes through price book management, rebates information and inventory/allocations oversight
* Provide clear direction to the network on preferred products and go-to-market approach, supported by supplier liaison and training
* Identify and build new opportunities across the segment (e.g., nursery, vegetable seed, pack houses) and translate into growth plans
* Partner with Regional Sales & Operations and Corporate Accounts to win major customers and deliver gross profit/margin growth
What You'll Bring:
* 5+ years' experience in the horticulture or viticulture industry
* Proven sales, agronomic or technical competence, with strong understanding of crop protection molecules and actives
* Commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with experience influencing outcomes across a broad stakeholder group
* Experience supply chain and product development is highly desirable
* Strategic mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo to create new opportunities
* Highly organised, detail-focused and able to prioritise, persist and drive execution through a large network
