About Our Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Urban Planning professional to contribute to our business goals by providing expert advice in planning and resource management. The ideal candidate will work on a range of land development, infrastructure, and strategic planning projects across New South Wales.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and independently as a Principal Planner on your own projects. You will have the chance to deliver high-quality service and deliverables while working in a friendly team environment.
* Deliver expertise in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing, and have a comprehensive knowledge of NSW urban planning and environmental legislation.
* Oversight of planning, programming, and coordination of projects to ensure that project outputs meet or exceed agreed goals.
* Development of project plans and strategies for the completion of major projects, including identification of business resource requirements.
* Preparation of strategies, reports, environmental impact assessments, and other planning documentation and submissions on behalf of clients.
* Technical and quality reviews of documentation prepared by the planning team to ensure that documentation and service levels meet or exceed client expectations.
* Leadership and assistance with the preparation of tender documentation.
* Fostering client relationships and identifying business opportunities.
* Growth, development, and mentoring of junior staff.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or Architecture/Urban Design or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
* Proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
* Extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW.
* Self-motivation and self-direction.
* An interest in working on a broad variety of projects.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with the team, managers, and clients.
* A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development.
* The drive and passion to solve problems and produce innovative solutions.
