We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team at the Australian Medical Council and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our ICT systems.

About the Role
As a Systems Administrator, you will:
* Implement, maintain, and provide technical support for desktop, portable devices, servers, network hardware/software, and peripheral equipment.
* Manage organisational systems administration, ensuring solutions are documented and kept up to date.
* Undertake system maintenance, troubleshooting, backup activities, and track/renew software licenses.
* Support end-users through training, technical assistance, and user documentation.
* Work collaboratively within the Systems Administration team to deliver high-quality communications and outcomes.
* Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and professionalism while fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
* Actively build your technical expertise and stay responsive to emerging technologies and organisational needs.
Key Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Strong experience in installing, testing, troubleshooting, administering, and maintaining PCs, printers, servers, networking equipment, telephony, storage infrastructure, and related software.
* Sound knowledge of network configuration, PC/server operating systems, ICT security best practices, and backup solutions.
* In-depth experience with Microsoft products: Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Exchange 2016, Office 365, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Terminal Services/Remote Desktop, and Certificate Services.
* Solid understanding of virtualization technologies (ESX/VSphere) and backup systems (VEEAM).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
* Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, Dell networking technologies, next-generation firewalls, and VPN solutions (e.g., Palo Alto PANOS/GlobalProtect).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in IT (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or equivalent certification in systems administration/support.
* Demonstrated history of continuous professional development.
* Availability to participate in on-call after-hours support on a rotating basis.
