Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS) is a for-purpose organisation fostering lifelong learning by providing high-quality learning and care for Victoria's children, families and communities.

Through this growth agenda, ECMS will be expanding both their Early Childhood Learning centres and their Kindergartens year on year, growing from the existing 76 which are across Victoria.
With a value-centric focus, there is now a unique opportunity to join ECMS in a newly created marketing and communications function in the new year, driving philanthropic and research grants to support this organisational growth.
The key to this position is to source and apply for grants from both philanthropic and private trusts to secure untied funding to support services and research projects
The role
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Enrolments, the Trusts and Foundations Manager is a newly created role that coordinates submissions and responses to government, philanthropic, and research grants to secure untied funding that supports government funding for early childhood learning and the free kinder initiative.
This is an exciting grassroots role, where you will have the opportunity to secure and grow the organisation's first grants management system and tender for new services. With ECMS's strong commitment to growing the grants portfolio, you will bring your experience and energy to develop a sustainable, multifaceted grants program for the organisation.
There are over 80 grants to project manage at any one time, ranging from small through to large opportunities to support income growth to support ECMS.
In addition to this, you will also be responsible for the following:
* Working with a wide range of stakeholders to identify and gather information to support grant submissions
* Develop an annual calendar or grant/tender application periods and project manage these with the support of the ELT
* Support sourcing and providing advice on grants management systems to ensure streamlined applications
* Provide support to the organisation to ensure deadlines are met and monitor and report income results, including acquittal
* Build and maintain a sustainable network of grant funders in Victoria
ECMS offer a very flexible and hybrid work environment, currently with two days in the office (Northcote, Vic) and flexibility working remotely up to three days.
Skills and experience
The Trusts and Foundations Manager for ECMS is a greenfields role, an exciting new addition to the Marketing and Communications Team.
It is responsible for identifying, writing and submitting bids and tenders to secure additional funding for new and existing early childhood programs.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
* Extensive experience working specifically in grants applications (ideally in education or not-for-profit organisations
* Experience building the frameworks, tools and guides for a new function
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work with internal and external stakeholders (including parent groups) to identify new opportunities in grant funding
* Demonstrated acquittal skills and governance reporting where requiredA strong mentality seeking out new opportunities to secure additional funding
* Exceptional project management skills
* A desire to work in a hands-on environment where no two days are the same
