Health and Wellbeing Principal Advisor | QLD GOV | 12 Month Contract
We are partnering with a large Queensland Government agency to find an experienced Health and Wellbeing Advisor within the Operational Service Delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Health Monitoring & Surveillance
Coordinate regular health checks and surveillance programs aligned with WHS requirements.
Maintain confidential health records and ensure compliance with reporting obligations.
Assist operations with suitable responses to workers following monitoring results.
Assist the Health Monitoring contract.
Liaise with Procurement regarding Labour Hire and Subcontractor requirements.
Coordinate Silica training.
Coordinate other health surveillance activities.
Drug and Alcohol Testing
Assist with the management of workplace drug and alcohol testing procedures.
Ensure testing standards are met and support staff through the process, including access to union representation or support persons where applicable.
Manage Medical Review process.
Respond to suspected impairment incidents and promote fit-for-work protocols.
Assist with the management of the contract.
Psychosocial Risk Monitoring
Identify and assess psychosocial hazards such as high job demands, bullying, or poor work design.
Consult with diverse worker groups to ensure inclusive risk assessments and control measures.
Maintain and review control measures to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
Assist complex case team with advice and risk assessment preparation.
Fit-for-Work Management
Oversee daily pre-start self-declarations and integrate fit-for-work checks into digital systems where possible.
Support managers in responding to psychological injuries and implementing recovery plans.
Assist contract management.
Other Wellbeing Activities
Coordinate a statewide approach and consistency to employee and support for connectors.
Manage contract with Converge (24hr SH line).
Training & Awareness
Deliver training related to the above responsibilities.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed-term roles.
