To support our expanding business, we are seeking an enthusiastic Hardware Engineer with experience in designing, building, and verifying embedded software related to signal processing and embedded systems.
This position is based in Fyshwick, Canberra. We may consider supporting relocation within Australia for the right candidate.
Key Projects:
* Large scale and distributed signal processing
* Embedded signal processing
* Network infrastructure (Layer 2 & 3)
* High-speed 5G & 6G communications and surveillance systems
Key Responsibilities:
* Design of mixed signal (analog and digital), communication, and signal electronic circuits
* Design of complex multilayer circuit boards
* Collaborate with mechanical and system engineers
* Testing, verification, and integration of circuits and assemblies from prototype to production and deployment
The Person:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Electronics or Communications Engineering (or related discipline). Candidates nearing completion of their studies may also be considered.
* Thorough understanding of electronics fundamentals, including circuit design and PCB layout
* Experience with high pin-count components (>3000 balls)
* Knowledge of high-speed PCB design and signal integrity/electromagnetics using industry tools
* High level of initiative and work ethic
* Logical problem-solving skills
* Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
* Ability to work well within a team
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Desirable:
* 2 years experience in designing multilayer PCBs
