Infrastructure Delivery Group
in Queensland has been providing contract administration, construction management and independent assurance services to a wide range of government and private clients for over 30 years. During this time, we have been involved in a number of iconic transport infrastructure projects on most of the major highways and motorways in the region. Our recent portfolio of successfully delivered projects includes the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge, Bruce Hwy Cooroy to Curra, and the M1 Burleigh to Palm Beach.
We are currently seeking experienced
Civil and Structural Site Inspectors | Surveillance Officers
with bridges, road works, rail and/or general infrastructure experience to join our project projects in both metro and regional areas of Queensland.
Your ability to develop strong working relationships with clients, contractors and other stakeholders will be key to your success.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Monitoring of construction activities to verify compliance with contract requirements
* Undertake surveillance and auditing tasks as per the project Surveillance Audit Schedule
* Assist the project engineers with review of contractor's management plans and quality documentation
* Undertake required inspections, measurements and verification tasks to release Hold and Witness Points
* Assist the contractor in the interpretation of the contract documents and resolve construction issues, in a timely manner, within your delegated authority.
* Supporting the project team in measurement of quantities, review variation costs and provide input in delay claims
* Maintain accurate daily diaries in the required format, supported by photographic and video records
* Participate in site risk review and assist the project team in achieving projects targets
What would you bring to the team?
* Significant experience on major transport infrastructure projects in civil or structures.
* We would prefer that you had a current TMR pre-qualification as an inspector at any level but will also consider those suitably experienced people that have the skills and experience to apply for prequalification. * Working knowledge of Department of Transport & Main Roads Qld specifications and standard drawings.
* Suitable understanding and application of policies and practices on Occupational Safety and Health and other relevant statutory regulations.
* High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative.
* Good level of written, verbal and numeracy skills; and
* Sound Computer skills (Email and Word.)
