This is a 4 month fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible
Western Australian College of Agriculture – Narrogin (WACOA – Narrogin) is seeking a Farm Manager to join their team. The College is located in the Narrogin Shire, 5kms southwest of the Narrogin town centre.
The WACOA - Narrogin is co-educational for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. As a specialist Agriculture and related trades training school, students come from across Western Australia with most boarding on site. Students apply to attend the College for the real-life learning environment and with a genuine interest in our programs and what these can do for their future job prospects. As a result, our students choose to be at the College and want to learn.
The course is centred on agriculture and related trades. The theory of agriculture learned in the class program is coupled with practical skills developed on the college's 1340-hectare farm which operates several commercial scale enterprises. The farm runs several sections which provide students with real life working experiences in broad acre cropping, beef, sheep, poultry, farm workshop and general farm maintenance.
The college operates as a Registered Training Organisation. Students can tailor a program from pathways which culminate in the Western Australian Certificate of Education with the possibility of generating an ATAR score along with a range of other qualifications.
