The Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Allied Health Assistant (Eat Walk Engage) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
This role involves contributing to patient care by providing clinical support tasks aimed at increasing patient nutrition, cognitive stimulation, mobility, and functional independence, as delegated under the supervision of health professionals involved in the Eat Walk Engage (EWE) program at Mackay Base Hospital. The EWE program is a multi-professional approach to early restorative care and delirium prevention in older patients.
About the Team
Eat Walk Engage (EWE) is a patient-centered care program designed to prevent delirium and promote high-quality acute care for older hospital inpatients. This state-wide geriatric inpatient initiative is supported by an expert facilitation team at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH). EWE operates across five adult inpatient wards, including acute surgical and medical settings.
