About the Role

We're on the lookout for a creative Woodwork teacher to join in full time/part-time role starting now. Key duties
- Design and develop a comprehensive woodwork curriculum aligned with educational standards and objectives.
- Plan engaging and effective lessons that cater to students' skill levels and promote hands-on learning in the woodwork shop.
- Provide transparent and thorough instruction on woodworking techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate proper and secure use of woodworking tools and machinery.
- Facilitate the development of woodworking skills, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing projects.
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly learning environment, managing student behaviour.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends, teaching methodologies, and safety standards.
Skills & Experience
- Possess unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold relevant qualifications in Education
- Maintain current VIT registration
- Demonstrate prior experience teaching Woodwork at a secondary school level in Australia
- Provide contact information for two educational references from the past five years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
