About This Role
This is a critical position within our organization, requiring a skilled and detail-oriented individual to maintain identified facilities in a manner consistent with their intended use.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance schedules.
* Manage and update Material Safety Data Sheets information, ensuring accurate storage and accessibility.
* Interact with internal and external stakeholders to meet facility usage requirements, including setup, disassembly, and access arrangements.
* Supervise cleaning contractors through regular site visits and report any issues to the relevant team leader.
* Perform electrical safety checks on all relevant equipment, adhering to established guidelines.
* Undertake routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks within facilities and surrounding areas.
* Collaborate with the Building and Facilities Maintenance team to deliver minor projects and maintenance initiatives.
* Conduct regular building inspections to identify damage, risks, or maintenance needs using designated council systems.
* Carry out additional duties that align with the incumbent's skillset, competence, and training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A post-secondary qualification in building, carpentry, plumbing, or a related field, or extensive experience in building maintenance.
* An electrical safety testing certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
* Certification for working at heights and relevant experience.
* An Industry Construction (White) Card.
