Role Overview
As the first point of contact, the Customer Service Officer is responsible for delivering professional and efficient customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will manage enquiries via phone and reception, provide accurate information, and ensure matters are appropriately escalated or referred.
The role also involves administrative support, database and file management, and assisting with office coordination tasks. You will contribute to maintaining a positive, supportive and responsive team culture while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail at all times.

You are confident communicating with a wide range of people, including those who may be distressed or have communication challenges. Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional, prompt and courteous customer service via phone and reception
* Respond to enquiries, provide accurate information and refer matters appropriately
* Manage and maintain records, databases and client files
* Monitor shared mailboxes and ensure timely responses
* Assist with complaints handling and enquiry logging processes
* Support basic financial, procurement and administrative tasks
* Maintain office presentation, supplies and coordination of activities
* Provide general administrative support including mail handling and document preparation
* Assist with event coordination and office operations as required
* Contribute to a positive, respectful and safety-focused workplace culture
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in a customer service or administrative role
* Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations
* Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging or distressed individuals
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
* High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
* Experience in a public sector or customer-facing environment
* Experience using databases or financial systems
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex needs
