About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveAccounts and Payroll Officerto join our Finance Team on a full-time, fixed-term for 12 months contract.
This role is vital in maintaining financial accuracy through payroll reconciliation, superannuation compliance, and monthly bookkeeping functions.
You will work closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure the seamless delivery of financial operations that support the ongoing success of our academic and support services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Accountant in daily finance operations
Support month-end close, including processing accruals and verifying expense completeness
Calculate and record amortisation, depreciation, and prepayments
Assist departments in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies

Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications in Accounting or equivalent experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and accruals
At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar finance role
Sound understanding of accounting principles and superannuation compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Experience entering journals and reconciling general ledger accounts
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of payroll and superannuation legislation
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
