As our highly valued Manager, Risk Frameworks based in Brisbane you will bring your strong risk management experiences to support the Director, Risk Framework, to deliver risk frameworks and uplift risk maturity for Great Southern Bank.
Our team manages risk appetite setting, risk accountabilities, the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system (Archer) and provides the enterprise view of risk for Great Southern Bank and its subsidiaries through various risk reporting initiatives.
Working with key partners and internal stakeholders including CRO, Internal Audit, Business Control and other CRO teams you will build insights and shape framework initiatives to uplift our risk management practices.
This is a 12 month secondment. You'll make an impact by:
You have a strong understanding of risk and compliance processes and are a key player in the development, maintenance and consistent implementation of our risk management framework, consulting widely across the risk function and with our Business Controls teams.
You will focus on assessing risk maturity and supporting uplifts where required, including developing and delivering risk training.
You will support the management of our risk committees, driving the consistency, quality and insights delivered through risk reporting.
You will support the Director Risk Frameworks and the Enterprise Risk team to:
* Develop, review and maintain the Risk Management Framework including the Risk Management Strategy, Risk Appetites Statement and related risk, control, issue and incident management Standards.
* Perform second line review and challenge to assess compliance with risks and governance frameworks and APRA Prudential Standards, including targeted assurance. Track emerging risks for the organisation and identify enterprise and business issues through thematic reviews and/or deep dives.
* Deliver enterprise risk reporting through to risk committees including preparation of the CRO reports and other enterprise risk profiles, risk maturity, risk culture and risk appetite reporting.
* Work with Business Controls (Line 1 risk) and senior leaders across the organisation to ensure consistent application of the RMF across the organisation.
* Perform CRO Division risk management activities including risk and control assessments, issue and incident management.
* Act as a second Line risk representative on relevant risk forums, project working groups and steering committees.
Do things differently with us To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management roles.
* Experience in risk frameworks, enterprise risk or operational risk in a financial or related institution, or in a consultancy/audit capacity, at a management level.
* Experience in managing and influencing multi-faceted stakeholders (internal and external) to meet competing priorities, different needs, and non-aligned expectations.
* Ability to build strong relationships at all levels to clearly communicate good risk management practices.
* Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations.
* Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
