Details: Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in your community? We're looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals to join our team as a part time Special Needs Transport Drivers.

In this vital role, you'll operate wheelchair-accessible minibuses, ensuring the safe and timely transport of passengers along designated routes. You'll provide excellent customer service to a diverse range of passengers, including students with disability, and contribute to a supportive and inclusive transport environment.

Key responsibilities include:

* Safely operating a wheelchair-accessible mini-bus.
* Delivering friendly, professional customer service while following scheduled routes.
* Performing pre-drive vehicle checks, maintaining operating records, and reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
* Ensuring the general security of the bus while in service.
* Cleaning, disinfecting, and refuelling vehicles to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

This role does not involve direct supervision of staff but requires a high level of independence, responsibility, and care.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

* Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas
* Successfully undergo a police check
* This position requires a pre-employment medical
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )
* Hold a minimum C class drivers' licence with the ability to upgrade to Medium Rigid (MR)
* Hold an 'O' class drivers licence condition, public vehicle driver authority, interstate equivalent (or ability to obtain)
* Hold a current First Aid certificate including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
* Relevant Qualifications relating to Driving and/or Disability Services is desirable

Notes: These positions are part-time at (25) hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill expected vacancies over the next 12 months.

* A current five-year Australian Driver History Check (from the relevant Australian state or territory authorities where you have lived) no older than one month old at time of application
* Completed Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check consent form and certified copies of the required identification documents (as outlined in the Applicant information pack). Please do not provide a police check report, as we will apply for a police report on your behalf.
* A copy of your current Working with Vulnerable People registration
* Proof of Australian residency or Australian citizenship (where applicable)
* Current First Aid certificate including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
