The Opportunity The Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics (EBS) is seeking applications from suitably qualified Sessional Staff for engagement into secure modes of employment via engagement into Continuing (Defined Periods) Academic Employment (CDPAE).
Continuing (Defined Periods) Academic Employment (CDPAE) These positions involve a range of teaching activities, including delivering tutorials and supervising workshops, marking in-semester assessments and exams, providing student consultations (in-person and online), and responding to discussion forums.
Staff will be allocated to EBS units, primarily taught face-to-face, with some online components.
In addition to teaching, these roles will support Chief Examiners by assisting with tasks such as managing Moodle pages and gradebooks, coordinating communication with teaching associates and students, overseeing marking allocations, and related administrative requirements.
CDPAE roles include defined working (paid) and non-working (unpaid) periods aligned with teaching commitments.
The appointment will be offered at full-time across the maximum defined working period of 40 weeks per calendar year.
CDPAE provides an alternative to sessional employment, offering greater job security, predictable workload, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.
These ongoing, part-time positions are available at Level A (Assistant Lecturer) or Level B (Lecturer), based primarily at the Clayton and Caulfield campuses, with some availability at Peninsula.
