A Position in Emergency Systems
About the Role
This is a key role that supports the Manager of Emergency Systems in developing, implementing and maintaining state-wide radio communications and emergency services management systems. It requires hands-on experience with radio communications and IP network systems along with a project management approach to coordinating technical work.
The successful candidate will possess proven capability in systems administration and managing virtualised environments particularly VMware. Overseeing vendor relationships and competing priorities in a dynamic environment is also desirable.
* Familiarity with VHF/UHF radio systems.
* Practical experience in the maritime or emergency services sector.
* Understanding of the radio and telecommunications regulatory environment in Australia.
* Experience in maintaining virtualisation environments e.g. VMware.
* Knowledge of IP networks including NBN MPLS LTE and microwave systems.
