ABOUT THE ROLE
Working within our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) and reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you’ll be responsible for technical assessments, defect analysis, regulatory compliance, and engineering support across our Boeing 767 fleet.
You’ll collaborate with maintenance providers, internal teams, regulators, and OEMs to uphold the highest levels of airworthiness and operational reliability. The role also provides exposure to major engineering events, project work, and opportunities to support both the Technical Support Manager and Fleet Planning Engineer.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Technical & Airworthiness Responsibilities
* Monitor, analyse, and report on aircraft defects to identify trends and emerging risks.
* Liaise with AMOs to resolve complex and recurring defects.
* Provide technical assessments and recommendations for defect rectification.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance and reliability.
* Analyse component failure rates and operational data to optimise parts holdings and reduce AOG exposure.
* Conduct AD/SB reviews and liaise with FTM UK on compliance actions.
* Support regulatory compliance, engineering requirements, C‑Checks, technical projects, and engineering evaluations.
* Provide relief duties for the Technical Support Manager and Fleet Planning Engineer as required.
Safety, Compliance, and General Duties
* Lead and support Safety Management System (SMS) activities, including risk mitigation and root‑cause analysis.
* Promote a Just Culture and encourage proactive safety reporting.
* Communicate safety and compliance updates through meetings, briefings, and written communications.
* Represent the Engineering department in cross‑company projects and initiatives, and participate in FTM UK meetings.
* Perform additional duties aligned with your skills and expertise, as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
* LAME certification with experience in Line/Base Maintenance, Planning, MOC, or Technical Services (preferred).
* Tertiary qualification in Aviation, Maintenance, Engineering, or any related discipline (desirable)
* At least 5 years’ experience as an Avionics or Mechanical Technical Services Engineer, with proven knowledge of MSG‑3, reliability programs, and continuing airworthiness requirements.
* Strong exposure to large airline engineering environments and an understanding of aircraft and airport operational procedures.
* Knowledge of Boeing 767 systems (preferred), backed by high‑level analytical and problem‑solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* A commitment to confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and professional ethical conduct.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* Full Australian working rights
* Ability to travel overseas and meet all requirements for ASIC, security clearances, and regulatory authorisations
* Ability to successfully complete pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening, audiometric testing, and a National Police Check
