About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building. Duties
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the focus of this position is to:
4. Business partnering & decision support - build positive relationships with key stakeholders to build financial literacy, promote good finance business practice while becoming familiar with their operations, systems, processes, and policies.
5. Manage change and improvement in budgeting and reporting, fiscal responsibility, and financial processes to ensure operational needs are met through efficient and effective processes.
6. Prepare analysis on Budget and Quarterly review preparation and analysis including public reporting and internal presentations.
7. Manage operating performance, budget variances, trend analysis and KPI reporting to stakeholders including commentary on key variances and recommended actions to bridge gaps.
8. Train business managers and their staff in the use of financial systems and to develop their understanding of financial reports as the Subject Matter Expert.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
9. Degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent.
10. Five years’ experience in a comparable position.
11. Post Graduate qualifications in Accounting (CA or CPA)
12. Experience leading and developing a small team in a commercial or similar environment
13. Good understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
14. Strong budgeting/reporting and financial modeling skills and experience working in matrix or multi-faceted businesses.
15. Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to balance competing workloads and deliver within deadlines
16. Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
