About the Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and self-motivated Trade Sales Development Manager to take ownership of a key regional territory in Northen and Metro Adelaide, including the North-Eastern and North-Western suburbs, the broader Northern region, as well as Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Roxby Downs, and surrounding areas. Ideally based in either Northern or Metro Adelaide, this hybrid, field-based role offers the opportunity to build meaningful connections with a diverse customer base across the trade, commercial, retail, agricultural, and industrial sectors unique to this part of SA.
You will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding Penrite’s footprint, and strengthening local partnerships - all backed by a well-respected Australian brand and a supportive national sales team.
Reporting directly to the Trade Sales Manager, this role is perfect for a proactive, results-driven professional who excels working independently and developing regional business opportunities in a dynamic and growing market like SA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to trade and retail customers
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships across your territory
- Proactively identify new business opportunities through fieldwork and local knowledge
- Attend trade events, expos, and regional customer meetings to promote Penrite products
- Provide timely reporting on territory performance and customer feedback
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent service and supply
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in territory or regional sales (automotive or trade-related preferred)
- Prior tenure with a major oil brand or a reseller/distributor of a major oil and lubricant company
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and grow market share
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously across a wide rural area
- Full Australian work rights and current driver’s licence
