Community Mental Health Practitioner
Location: Mildura
Tenure: Full Time or Part Time - Fixed Term Contract
Salary: $71,525 - $89,600 (pro rata for part time)

Position Description: Community Mental Health Practitioner
This is a Fixed Term Contract for 2 years.
The Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR) is a State Government funded program, administered through Mildura Base Public Hospital.
The EIPSR provides short to medium-term, specialist psychosocial support to adult clients with severe mental illness who are:
* Not eligible for the NDIS due to lack of significant, permanent functional impairment;
* Eligible for the NDIS but awaiting an access decision and plan.
The support aims to help clients:
* Manage their mental illness better;
* Develop practical life skills for independent living and social connectedness;
* Achieve health and functional lives;
* Transition to NDIS if eligible.
The Community Mental Health Practitioner supports clients by:
* Recognizing recovery and wellbeing opportunities;
* Enhancing capacity, self-determination, and self-management;
* Helping families and carers understand challenges and opportunities;
* Minimizing risks of clinical admission or re-admission.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant experience and an accredited tertiary qualification at Degree level or above in Mental Health, Psychology, or Social Work; Diploma considered.
* Applicants with lived experience (carer or consumer) of mental health services encouraged to apply.
* Current driver's license and willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.
