Based in Tomago this role will deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, while providing valuable insights into operational performance in line with group accounting principles.
What you'll be doing
Prepare end-of-month accrual journals and Profit & Loss reports.
Produce weekly activity reports for a major customer and manage the timely collection of outstanding debt.
Provide financial insights and advice on business performance to Head Office and Senior Management.
Establish and maintain accurate financial reporting tools and systems.
Ensure accurate reporting of revenue and costs relating to tipping and subcontractor-performed jobs.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide backup support across Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable as required.
Support capital expenditure requests and related documentation.
Perform General Ledger reconciliations.
Undertake additional reporting, accounting, and administrative duties as required.
Skills and Experience
CA / CPA qualified
Strong exposure to revenue management, and subcontractors working model
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial/management/other accounting roles
Advanced excel skills and experience working with various systems
Strong accounting skills
Experience in preparation, oversight and accountability for P&Ls and balance sheets
Proven track record in providing robust financial analysis to support business decisions
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
