We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable First Class Welder to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and has strong experience across a range of welding techniques.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal components in line with technical drawings and industry standards. The position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform welding using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Conduct inspections and identify faults or defects
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
- Minimum Skill Level 3
- Proven experience as a First Class / Special Class Welder
- Strong knowledge of welding methods and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
