Overview
Network Security Operations Support Engineer position at Leidos Australia. Supports Leidos customers in Australia and the United States. This full-time permanent role reports to the US and offers flexible work arrangements, including remote work.
What You'll Do
Provide enterprise network security solutions (firewalls, IPS, tap aggregation, packet capture, content filtering, and security automation tools) to ensure security and ongoing stability of the Leidos Corporate Network.
Manage daily operations, maintenance and user requests in a large global enterprise.
Build, configure, troubleshoot and update network security capabilities to protect core networks and information.
Provide technical expertise to large or complex security projects.
Guide and support junior engineers and establish/maintain operating procedures.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support for the corporate network security environment.
What You'll Bring To Make An Impact
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years' experience, including 2+ years in an enterprise network or security environment, or equivalent combination of experience, training and certifications.
Strong knowledge of the OSI 7-layer model, TCP/IP and common application layer protocols.
Fundamental knowledge of IP-based networking, including switching and routing.
Experience with enterprise firewall vendors (e.g., Check Point, Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco/FirePower Threat Defense).
Qualifications & Requirements
Note: The role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen who is willing to obtain and hold an AGSVA security clearance.
