About the role:
As the Finance & Administration Manager you will manage the business services team within your Centre responsible for the finance, payroll, procurement, canteen and warehouse activities for the Centre.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare all required financial reports for your centre for your Centre
* Prepare financial statements and month end variance analysis, ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory requirements and MTC requirements
* Work to safeguard the company by ensuring your centre is compliant with annual audit, legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards affecting our business area
* Successfully manage stakeholder relationships including government bodies and suppliers that provide goods and services to the business
* Ensure individual, department and company KPI's are achieved and work with stakeholders to deliver government and Company initiatives which include but are not limited to finance related initiatives that improve performance
* Make plans, develop strategies and schedules, set goals and establish objectives to drive a continuous improvement model across your team
* Manage budget performance and budget preparation for your Centre, in line with Company
Key experience:
* Proven financial management experience at senior management level within corrections or detention services. If not within corrections or detention services, then another complex industry such as hospital, university, or similar large scale operational environment
* Formal qualification in Finance, CA/CPA qualifications
* Previous working experience of NetSuite desired
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to gain and retain all the police/security clearances required within our industry
* Ability to pass any required health assessments
* Ability to visit and work within a correctional or detention centre
