This role involves transactional accounting and general finance admin support. As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable and preparing bank uploads for approval.

Key Responsibilities:

* Processing accounts payable and preparing bank uploads for approval

* Monitoring shared inboxes and phone lines, escalating queries as needed
">
* Posting draft entries from an inventory system into Xero
">
* Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
">
* Managing supplier account applications and documentation
">
* Handling petty cash and cash-based transactions
">
* Processing end-of-month supplier statements and placing account holds as required
">
* Goods receipting and liaising with operational teams (guidance provided)
">
* Assisting with basic audit preparation tasks
">
* Providing support for payroll (training provided)

Requirements

* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and general transactional accounting

* Comfortable with manual processes

* Able to work independently with minimal instruction and use initiative

* Reliable, helpful, and proactive - happy to support the team with value-adding tasks when things are quiet
