About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Liverpool Hospital Physiotherapy team as the Acute Surgical Senior Physiotherapist. The position supports the management of the acute tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients and is responsible for the supervision of staff working on acute surgical wards. It's a great time to be joining Liverpool as the facility undergoes major redevelopment.
What You'll be Doing
The Senior Acute Surgical Physiotherapist is responsible for providing high quality clinical management and delivery of physiotherapy to cardiorespiratory and acute surgical patients, including complex airway management in head and neck patients and tracheostomy care. The role also involves service evaluation and development and use of advanced reasoning and practice skills in surgical patients of complex nature. This position is also be responsible for the supervision, teaching and training of rotational Level 1/2 Physiotherapists and allied health assistant.

The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

* Demonstrated extensive level of physiotherapy skills and experience, including the management of cardiorespiratory, post surgical and head and neck patients of complex nature, and in tracheostomy care
* Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated experience in supervision and teaching of staff and/or students.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities.
