Job Description
The Technical Product Engineer is the local technical expert for TOMRA's reverse vending machines (RVMs).
You will serve as a key liaison between our partners, customers, technicians, and system users, acting as the conduit between TOMRA Collection Australia (TCA) and our global headquarters in Norway.
Your mechanical and electrical skills, combined with an analytical mindset, will be essential as you perform the following daily tasks:
1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of TOMRA's product portfolio.
2. Analyze data from installed machines, report findings, and follow up according to SLA requirements.
3. Suggest, develop, test, and implement performance improvements.
4. Act as the escalation point for technical queries related to TOMRA's RVMs and resolve issues.
5. Perform software and hardware testing.
6. Create and maintain training materials and product documentation.
7. Deliver training to technicians, field teams, and service operators.
8. Develop market-specific solutions for equipment and RVMs.
9. Support various projects within TCA.
10. Assist with machine installation and deployment.
11. Implement performance enhancements across TCA's RVM portfolio.
Qualifications
To succeed as a Technical Product Engineer, you should have:
* An engineering degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* A solution-oriented and results-driven approach.
* The ability to learn and adapt to new concepts.
* Previous hands-on or field experience (preferred).
* Proven experience in product development or system improvements.
