About This Opportunity
As Associate Dean (Academic), you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Faculty's teaching and learning portfolio, ensuring strong alignment with University priorities and regulatory requirements. You will lead academic governance for courses and programs, oversee academic services that support the student lifecycle, and ensure that quality assurance, risk management, and continuous‑improvement processes are embedded and effective. Working closely with the Executive Dean, Heads of School, professional staff, and University stakeholders, you will champion excellence and innovation in teaching and learning across the disciplines of health, medicine, and behavioural sciences. The role requires a highly collaborative leadership approach and a strong commitment to delivering high‑quality student outcomes.

About You
You will be an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in university teaching and learning and a demonstrated record of success. You will bring in‑depth knowledge of academic governance, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks within a complex university environment, along with the ability to think and act strategically. You will have proven capability to lead faculty‑wide initiatives, plan and deliver continuous improvement across programs and courses, and manage a broad range of academic and administrative processes. Highly developed interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and people‑leadership skills are essential; the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, lead and implement change, and motivate and support staff through periods of growth and renewal. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and a clear focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes for students and staff.
