We are currently seeking a Safety and Training Advisor to join our team in East Rockingham, in a full‑time capacity. Some national travel may be a requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily HSE support, coaching, and advice to site teams.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, client standards, and Boom Logistics policies.
* Conduct site risk assessments, JHAs, SWMS reviews, and task observations.
* Support incident investigations using ICAM or equivalent methodology.
* Monitor corrective actions to full close‑out.
* Deliver toolbox talks, HSE inductions, and targeted safety campaigns.
* Promote continual improvement and behavioural safety initiatives.
* Maintain and develop training programs.
* Maintain online training programs.
* Maintain and implement site training management plans.
* Contribute to the development, review, and updating of the training and assessment materials.
* Delivery of training and assessment which reflects employee position profiles and meets client requirements.
* Maintain and upload competency assessment evidence into Myosh.
* Actively contribute to the company's culture of systematic continuous improvement.
Requirements for Safety & Training Advisor
* A safety training background with a minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role.
* Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHS.
* Relevant qualifications in Assessment and Workplace Training (TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment).
* Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word.
* Demonstrated use of safety database systems (Myosh software experience desirable).
* Proven track record in effective management of site‑based safety & training.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Can work autonomously within a team.
* Proven ability to develop, implement & review standard work procedures for site-specific operational tasks.
* Can effectively deliver and present classroom-based training programs to site-based personnel.
* National Police Clearance.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
* Current and Valid Australian Manual Driver's License.
* Able to pass company medical.
