The Program
HW4 is an Acute General surgical ward for patients undergoing emergency procedures. The HW4 Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) program is a 12 month supported position, where nurses gain specialist knowledge and skills caring for acute general surgical patients across the in-patient ward. The course aims to build on knowledge via online content, face-to-face study days and clinical support, to enhance and extend practice through a structured clinical progression program. A comprehensive orientation to the ward will be provided including supernumerary shifts in the initial transition to the program.

* Supported by the Clinical Education Team and a dedicated ward based preceptor.
* Rostered time to attend various study days.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with minimum of 1 year acute nursing experience and/or completion of a graduate year
