Director Role

The Director of the Office of Australian War Graves is responsible for administering the activities of the office and commemorative activities on behalf of the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

">

You will lead and manage a branch responsible for the Department's commemorative activities, both within Australia and overseas.

">

You will provide high-level policy advice to the DVA Executive, the Repatriation Commission, and other stakeholders as required.

">

You will build mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders and represent the department in various settings.

">

To be successful, you will need to be an exceptional senior executive with passion, knowledge, and leadership skills.

">

You will have well-honed policy development skills, impressive strategic direction-setting capabilities, and project management expertise.

">

You will also have first-class representation skills, a strong achievement orientation, and personal style that engenders trust and respect.

">

You will be prepared to travel overseas and lead teams responsible for delivering commemorative events.
