About this Work Area
As an Interior Design Co‑worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
* Communicating and implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers (involving customer visits) through creating in‑room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
* Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
* Assisting in building furniture and setting up new room‑sets when required.
* Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market.
* Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co‑worker areas.
What You Bring
* A true passion for home furnishing and people's lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces.
* An understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands‑on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools.
* A strong communicator, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals.
* An ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment, working under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced retail environment.
* Experienced with programs such as Revit, SketchUp and Adobe CC Suite is preferred. Having an Interior Design/Architecture qualification, or previous experience in home furnishing retail is essential.
