The Royal Flying Doctor Service South-Eastern Section (RFDSSE) is a leading provider of health services to remote areas of NSW, SA and QLD. RFDSSE provides primary health care, health education, preventative and public health, emergency and retrieval services.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Project Officer to join us until 30 June 2027 to support the planning, coordination and delivery of the "Good to know" awareness National Lung Cancer Screening program. This role can be based from Sydney or Dubbo, however, requires travel to regional and remote areas across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and deliver community engagement activities and ensure that they align with the campaign
* Build and maintain effective relationships with community groups, health professionals and other partners
* Monitor progress against project timelines and deliverables
* Gather feedback, stories and insights from communities to support ongoing engagement
Role Requirements:
* Previous experience in community engagement or health promotion, ideally within a rural and remote setting
* Good time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of local communities and have a genuine interest in improving health outcomes
* Ability to travel across NSW and interstate
