The Package: $ $1,285.76 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Trainee Grade 4 – 10 of the QPRC Salary System 2025), plus potential performance-based progression. Position is full-time – 35 hours per week.

In this role you will:
* Responsible for contributing to the design of natural and built landscapes that incentivise population, agriculture and business growth through sustainably and equitably sited residential, rural and employment lands with appropriate infrastructure and environmental considerations.
* Work alongside experienced town planners to help deliver projects that shape the built environment, protect our natural assets and reflect the aspirations of our diverse community, making Queanbeyan-Palerang a great place to live, work and visit.
* Assist in the preparation of strategic land-use plans, urban design frameworks, planning proposals, facilitate community engagement, maintain natural and built heritage, assess development applications and provide input on planning controls.
We are looking for someone who:
* Can satisfy enrolment for (or currently completing) a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning and meet the study requirements to attain completion.
* Is capable of working both independently and as part of a high performing team.
* Has strong communication, time management and customer service skills.
