Kleinig Constructions is a residential builder delivering high-quality custom homes, extensions and renovations across the Fleurieu Peninsula region.
We're looking to connect with carpentry team members at various stages of their career who enjoy working directly with a builder and being involved in the wider construction process — not just one narrow task.
This role suits someone who values quality workmanship and wants exposure to how a residential project comes together as a whole.
About the role
Depending on your experience, the role may include:
* Framing and structural carpentry
* Fix-out and finishing carpentry
* A variety of hands-on building tasks across different stages of construction
* Working closely with the Builder and an experienced Leading Hand
* Exposure to sequencing, coordination and on-site problem-solving
We run organised sites with realistic programmes and a strong focus on doing things properly the first time.

Apprentice Carpenters

Qualified Carpenters
* Trade qualified
* Consistent and reliable

* Enjoy variety and learning beyond core carpentry
Leading Hand Carpenters
* Strong carpentry background
* Able to lead by example on site
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Interested in increased responsibility over time

Pay (indicative)
* Apprentice: based on award
* Qualified Carpenter: $37–$43 per hour + super

Projects are based around Victor Harbor, with minimal long-distance travel.
