Job Title: Program Director - Specialised Alternative Learning
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the establishment and management of the Specialised Alternative Learning Program in Mount Isa, Australia. This initiative aims to reconnect young people involved in the youth justice system with education, training or employment pathways.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the program, ensuring compliance with service agreements, policies and procedures, and compiling relevant data to acquit reporting requirements.

About the Role:
* This is a full-time, permanent position supporting young people aged 10-16 and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a passionate team, including providing professional supervision and guidance.
* Work in partnership with local services providers, including schools, education providers, youth justice services, and other specialist supports, to ensure a cohesive and holistic service.
* Proactively build connections with local networks and engage with government agencies to advocate for young people and their families.
* Oversee daily operations and ensure that practice, compliance and child safeguarding standards are met.

Requirements:
* Proven leadership skills and experience, with the ability to build a high-performing team.
* A Bachelor qualification in Human Services or Education, or significant equivalent experience.
* Experience working with individuals from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
* Knowledge and understanding of the stresses on vulnerable families and the range of family risk and protective factors which impact on child outcomes.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and de-escalate complex scenarios.
