The School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences (MIHS) includes disciplines of Exercise, Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medical Sciences, Nutrition Science and Dietetics; and Indigenous Health. The School currently offers externally accredited programs in Dietetics, Clinical Exercise Physiology and Exercise Science, as well as non-accredited programs in Medical and Health Sciences, Pre-Medicine, and Nutrition Sciences. The School also offers a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma and Recovery Practice, and a Master of Indigenous Health..
About the role
We are seeking an Associate Professor to lead the establishment and direction of a new Master of Physiotherapy program. This role will be instrumental in designing and delivering a high-quality, accredited postgraduate program that prepares graduates for clinical practice and leadership in physiotherapy.
About you
The successful candidate will provide academic leadership to program staff and students, fostering a collegial and high-performing culture across teaching and research activities. You will bring significant expertise in physiotherapy education, research, and professional engagement, actively supporting the School’s broader teaching, research, and external partnership objectives.
This position also offers an excellent opportunity to develop and maintain a research program that complements physiotherapy and aligns with the School’s existing strengths in exercise science, Indigenous health, nutrition, and medical sciences.
